Runners: Paula Radcliffe Wears Compression

There are mixed reviews online as to whether or not compression socks are a useful tool for runners. All we can say is that yes, they are and, as if to prove our point, we have discovered an article that states champion runner Paula Radcliffe shares the same belief

Within the piece Professor Edzard Ernst, a ‘world class scientist,’ states:

“Some people have a tendency for their legs to swell up due to venous insufficiency and these socks would help control this. For someone running 26 miles, swollen legs would be heavy legs and that would be no good thing.”

If it’s good enough for Paula, it’s good enough for us. Plus, when you know the science, there’s really no reason not to protect yourself with a healthy pair of socks, is there?
