Don’t touch that dial – Daylong star on the nation’s radio

Don’t touch that dial – Daylong star on the nation’s radio Here at Daylong we were delighted to hear our name ringing out from the nation’s radios on Wednesday 1st May. The message about how Daylong’s range of compression products can help with tired, aching legs is clearly getting through.healthy legs Throughout the day, a renowned and well known doctor Rob Hicks spoke to radio stations about what we can do about leg health problems. Dr Rob Hicks revealed that while 70% of people suffer with tired aching legs,41% still suffer in silence. Fortunately for listeners, he then offered a few easy solutions to this age old problem. The interviewing DJs frequently asked what people could do if they were in pain – or if they were losing sleep or quality of life during the day, as many callers told them was the case in their lives. The answer was always the same, and took three main pieces of advice. First, Dr Rob Hicks said speak to your own doctor. Some people think it is wasting a doctor’s time, but he assured us this was not the case. Also speak to a pharmacist, who are very helpful and will refer you to your doctor if they think it is warranted. Second, Dr Rob Hicks recommended moving our legs a bit more. Nice and simple advice, we thought, but so true. He talked about the problem being that when we sit or stand without moving our legs very much causes blood to collect in our veins, rather than being pumped back up to our hearts. Moving our legs more gets our muscles working, and our blood pumping. Third, and this was the bit we really liked, Dr. Rob Hicks moved onto compression hosiery. He talked about how compression hosiery works by putting pressure on our leg and calf muscles, forcing blood back up towards our heart. He stated – much to many DJs’ surprise – that compression hosiery now looks very fashionable and is very comfortable. Dr Rob Hicks pointed listeners to the Daylong website, where he said they could read great leg health advice, and learn about the range of compression hosiery available. Thank you doctor Rob, you did Daylong and the nation’s legs proud!
