Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) Awareness Week with Daylong

June marks Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) Awareness Week (4th-12th June). Did you know that HS patients receive their diagnosis after a 10-year delay on average? The reason behind this is that HS is not a well-known condition, even amongst medical professionals. HS is often misdiagnosed as alternative skin ulcerating conditions, leaving the individuals with many years of suffering from the physical symptoms and their psychological consequences.

This HS Awareness Week, the Daylong team are launching a wide-scale campaign to educate clinicians within the NHS. We have designed various educational materials that will get distributed amongst hundreds of clinicians and we are publishing the first clinical lead document to be written for nurses on HS wound management and skin care.

If you would like to receive our educational package (inc printed leaflets), please use the HS Awareness pack form, and if you think your colleagues would be interested too, we’ll send you more! To learn about HS, you can also access our digital materials below.
